charge some not to teach different doctrine nor to hold to myths and endless genealogies which present questionings rather than God’s administration which is in faith; and the goal of the charge is love out of a pure heart and a good conscience and an unhypocritical faith, from which things some having missed the mark turned aside unto vain speaking, wishing to be Law-teachers, not understanding either the things which they speak or concerning what they strongly affirm (vv. 3–7).
